Our Policies

By placing a booking with us (The Lodge), you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us prior to making the booking.

To make a booking, the lead guest must be 18 years of age or over. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set out within.

No person in excess of the number of guests agreed at the time of reservation may occupy the property. Breach of this rule will result in each additional guest being charged £80 p.p.p.n. which will be taken out of the security deposit as set out below.

Security Deposit

A deposit of £500 is required on arrival which is payable via a credit or debit card. Your deposit will be held in a holding account and released back to you once The Lodge has been checked over after your stay.

A copy of these details are required to be kept on file in case of any additional charges. In the event of further charges the card holder will be notified in writing before any charge is incurred and payment is authorised by ourselves. All card details will be destroyed once guests have checked out and the property has been inspected. Please be aware that the card expiry date must be valid for the duration of your stay otherwise your booking may be deemed void.

Animal Policy

Our accommodation is dog friendly, however no dogs are to be left in The Lodge alone and must be accompanied at all times. Dogs are not permitted on beds.

Food / Beverages

Self-catering means that catering is not provided at The Lodge, although you are very welcome to bring your own food and beverages with you. Guests can make use of our fully equipped kitchen or if you wish, arrangements can be made for our chef to come in and cook meals for you at an additional cost.

Strictly no food or beverages are to be taken into Mounton Brook Lodge venue whist an event or wedding is taking place. If anyone is caught doing so, management reserve the right to confiscate these items.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is from 2 p.m. on arrival date. Guests must check-out by 10 a.m. on day of departure. Early / late check-in and check-out may be arranged by prior agreement and subject to availability, we will always do our best to accommodate you. Without prior arrangement, late check-out will be charged at a rate of £80 per hour.

Cancellation and Non-arrival Conditions

Guests that need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits are non-refundable however if enough notice is given, we will do our best to re-arrange your stay.

Non-arrival of guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason will not be entitled to any refunds. It is recommended that booking guests take out appropriate holiday insurance where required.

In the very unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

Damages, Breakages and Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused throughout the course of a stay with us by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings and missing items. Any accidental damages should be reported to management as soon as possible to minimise the damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a replacement charge per key lost.

No liability shall be accepted by us for loss, damage or theft of personal property belonging to guests, either in the property or in the guest’s vehicles left on the property. Nor shall liability be accepted by us for accident or injury to guests, either within the property or outside.

Any left property can be arranged to be collected.

Smoking

Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, vapes are not permitted inside the property. Ashtrays are provided outside if you wish to smoke. No naked flames (candles) are permitted in the property.

Parking

Guests parking and leaving vehicles overnight accept that they do so at their own risk. Vehicles must vacate the car park by 10:30 a.m. on check-out day to ensure that parking spaces are vacant and available for arriving guests that may be holding an event or staying with us.

Finally

For stays in excess of a week, we will provide clean linen and towels, we will agree timings with you. It is sometimes possible to arrange to have the property cleaned during a long stay, please discuss this if this is something you would like.
